Registering Content Templates: A Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log into the Smartping.

  2. Navigate to "Template" and Click New Template

  3. Fill in the Required Fields:

    • Type of Communication: Select your message category (Promotional, Service Explicit, etc.).

    • Template Type: Choose "SMS."

    • Content Template Name: Create a clear, descriptive name.

    • Header: Select from your previously approved headers.

    • Consent ID: (Optional) Select the relevant consent ID.

    • Business Category: Choose the category that best fits your business.

  4. Create Template Content:

    • Enter the actual SMS message you'll send to customers.

    • Use variables (e.g., {#var#}) to represent dynamic content like dates, names, or product details.

    • Important:

      • Variables are case-sensitive and mandatory for transactional/service messages.

      • Promotional messages can have fixed or variable content.

      • Limit of two variables per template.

      • Use variables for sensitive information like amounts, dates, etc.

  5. Submit for Approval: Once you've filled in all the details, click "Submit."

  6. Approval Time: It can take 3-7 business days for Smartping to approve your template.

  7. View Submitted Templates: You can track the status of your templates (requested, rejected, registered) under the "Content Template Details" tab. You can also search and filter templates here.
